About HomeDash
Built by a landlord, not a boardroom
HomeDash exists because its founder needed it. Paul McGough is a working UK landlord who self-manages his own portfolio of rented properties — and spent years watching certificates, deadlines and paperwork slip through the cracks between spreadsheets, folders, and reminder apps. HomeDash is the system he built to make that stop.

Why it works the way it does
Every feature in HomeDash earns its place by running a real portfolio, every day. The compliance calendar exists because a missed renewal is a real fine. The rent ledger exists because arrears cases are won and lost on records. The document vault exists because “can you produce the certificate?” is a question councils actually ask, with a deadline attached. If a feature doesn't survive contact with a real tenancy, it doesn't ship.
That's also why HomeDash is compliance-first. The 2026–2030 wave of regulation — the Renters' Rights Act, EPC 2030, Making Tax Digital, the coming PRS Database and Ombudsman — is the hardest part of being a self-managing landlord right now. The Renters' Rights Centre, the free tools, and the product itself all point at the same goal: nothing slips, nothing surprises you.
Who's behind it
HomeDash is a product of Wessex Investment Services Ltd (Company No. 10402782), registered with the ICO (ZB298208) and based in the UK. No anonymous startup, no offshore holding structure — a named company you can look up, run by the person whose name is on this page.
What we will and won't do
Your data is yours
We never sell your data and never take commissions or kickbacks. HomeDash makes money one way: subscriptions. That alignment is deliberate.
No invented numbers
You won't find fabricated review scores or made-up user counts here. Where we publish a fact, it has a source; where we can't evidence something, we don't say it.
Sourced, dated guidance
Every regulatory page carries its gov.uk sources and a last-reviewed date, under our published editorial standards.
Free means free
The free plan is the full system on one property, forever — no card, no trial clock. Judge the product, not the pitch.
